Nicole Ari Parker is an American stage and film actor who was famous for her portrayal as the fiery lawyer Teri Joseph on the Showtime show Soul Food. Following her marriage, she is also known as Nikki Kodjoe. From the time she was a child, Nikki Kodjoe was a naturally talented actor. At the Maryland contest with high school students, she took home the award for the Best Actress. Contractor was born in Mumbai and was a resident of Nigeria for seven years, experienced a variety of adventures and cultural encounters from very young. From the age of seven until nine, Contractor attended boarding schools in London. The family later moved to Toronto where she lived throughout her early years.
